MediaTek announced the Dimensity 800U chipset, a mid-range powerful 5G capable processor.


So the chip has Octa Core Cpu layout, four Cortex A76 and four Cortex A55 cores. In the new chipset the Cortex A76 cores clocked up the speed upto 2.4 Ghz.


Also it has 5G + 5G dual sim support, which is a new feature from the 800. This could be pretty handy in the early days of 5G, where carriers are starting to roll out their networks but coverage isn’t available everywhere.
