Non Battery Powered robot!!!!

A team of University of Southern California has now made a 88 milligram robot called RoBeetle that runs on menthanol and uses artificial muscle system. It can crawl, climb and take loads on its back.

It is just 15 mm in length, and one of the lightest and smallest robot in the world.

Most of the robots needs battery to run themselves. But they are heavy. So the team used liquid fuel menthanol and this can store 10 times more energy than battery.

The muscles of the robot is made from nickel-titanium alloy wires. The team tested their robot on a variety of flat and inclined surfaces made from materials that were both smoth and rough.

The Robot can carry upto 2 times more load than it's own weight.

So micro bots are taking a huge stage in robot industry. So let's see what happens in future.
